With a little luck, Azpeitia CD's Taio Bargas got control of the ball when Ostadar Herrera tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zelipe Rivera charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zelipe Rivera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, Semper Fidelis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zelipe Rivera to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loren Mondejar in the 15th minute of play forced Semper Fidelis's goalkeeper Macerio Leyva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute, Gelmiro Fuentes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Javier Gonzáles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ostadar Herrera took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Taio Bargas. Taio Bargas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After the first half Azpeitia CD were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Javier Gonzáles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Semper Fidelis's supporters rose to their feet, but Javier Gonzáles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Taio Bargas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 53 minutes, Fabián Villanueva mouthed his way into the referee's book. In the 77th match minute, Azpeitia CD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnalt Griful to maneuver through the defense. Gustavo Odín, 77 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Raúl Zurica hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Azpeitia CD were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after Semper Fidelis's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Amancio Manrique took the corner. Loren Mondejar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Loren Mondejar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Macerio Leyva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 94 minutes into the game, when Gustavo Odín put in a rough tackle. In the 94th minute, one of Semper Fidelis:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Semper Fidelis. The Semper Fidelis supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Azpeitia CD's performance. The match ended with a win for Azpeitia CD.
