Balesio Marcilla's late challenge caught a Lio F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Balesio Marcilla helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Lio F.C booed when UD Tomelloso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Balesio Marcilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes in the game, Ramiro Velazquez fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cosme Baeza having to interfere. Mambru Griful kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Leal Pujol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Cosme Baeza made a huge save. In the 17thth minute of the game Belmiro Diaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but UD Tomelloso's Efren Calatayud was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arxel Astudillo scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Efren Calatayud, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Efren Calatayud showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belmiro Diaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Belmiro Diaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Efren Calatayud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alirio Galego charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alirio Galego the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Lio F.C getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Alirio Galego hit a great ball. When Lio F.C's Arxel Astudillo in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in UD Tomelloso's zone, Arxel Astudillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Efren Calatayud came out of the goal and Arxel Astudillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Belmiro Diaz in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Efren Calatayud saved UD Tomelloso from getting behind. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Belmiro Diaz to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Arxel Astudillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Efren Calatayud was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Efren Calatayud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Belmiro Diaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Mambru Griful fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lio F.C's protests and gave Mambru Griful a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Mambru Griful hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. UD Tomelloso's Beila Feliu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lio F.C. Thanks to some nice moves Arxel Astudillo could shoot a difficult shot in the 68th minute, which Efren Calatayud however easily saved by the left post. 70 minutes into the match, UD Tomelloso's goalkeeper Efren Calatayud had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arxel Astudillo. Belmiro Diaz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Efren Calatayud made a huge save. Leal Pujol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lio F.C's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Iñaki Domenech in the 78th minute. UD Tomelloso's Efren Calatayud played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Diaz in the 81st minute of play. Arxel Astudillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Efren Calatayud made a huge save. UD Tomelloso's Efren Calatayud proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save UD Tomelloso from getting a goal against them. Efren Calatayud made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Diaz in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, UD Tomelloso's Ladio Bravo got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute, Arxel Astudillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lio F.C fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Lio F.C's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
