After the first half Oirós were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilabert Goyanes to make the kick off. When Eugenio Mendez fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hoya De Santa Maria's protests and gave Eugenio Mendez a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Hoya De Santa Maria getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Sandro Batuecas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandro Batuecas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joseba Saez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play.
