The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Berriatua's Marco Vega got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ursino Mayor fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castrocan AFC's protests and gave Ursino Mayor a yellow card for diving instead. Ursino Mayor kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Castrocan AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Antxo Domenech scored to the left of an out of position Manuel Lama, making the score, 1-0. Bero Gómez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radomil Smuskiewicz having to interfere. Marco Vega scored 2-0 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Lama, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Berriatua defense, Gartzen Cano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radomil Smuskiewicz. The Berriatua fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Radomil Smuskiewicz should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Berriatua's Breixo Roca got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute, Quin Dean had to leave the field with a concussion. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amador Marin during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marco Vegas short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Manuel Lama to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Castrocan AFC's goalkeeper Manuel Lama, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marco Vega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bero Gómez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Aquiles Vives sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gartzen Cano to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Castrocan AFC booed when Berriatua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Vives didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd minute, Gartzen Cano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Radomil Smuskiewicz. The goal made the score 2-2. Radomil Smuskiewicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gartzen Cano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Lama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Vega in the 64th minute of the match. Amador Marin hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. If Manolo Zubiaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquiles Vives fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Lama having to interfere. With a little luck, Berriatua's Radomil Smuskiewicz got control of the ball when Bero Gómez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marco Vega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Manuel Lama tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 86th match minute, Castrocan AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ursino Mayor to maneuver through the defense. If Marco Vega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Castrocan AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Antxo Domenech came free, but Manuel Lama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bero Gómez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Radomil Smuskiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gartzen Cano in the 96th minute of play. Although Berriatua had been in control for most of the match, Castrocan AFC still came away with the win.
