The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of La Cañada CF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of deni5:s goal. In the 11th minute of the match, Manu Izquierdo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Emeterio Sacristán was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Manu Izquierdo might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emeterio Sacristán. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manu Izquierdo ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Emeterio Sacristán managed to avoid a goal in the 13thth minute, when deni5's Eriberto Puyol fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Santiago Pedriza kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Eriberto Puyol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, La Cañada CF's Emeterio Sacristán got control of the ball when Manu Izquierdo tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Iñigo Vega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Eriberto Puyol kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emeterio Sacristán. That made the score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. In the 27th minute Eriberto Puyol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emeterio Sacristán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manu Izquierdo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emeterio Sacristán having to interfere. After a rather tough play, deni5's Leopoldo Rivera got a free kick in the 35th minute. Manu Izquierdo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Emeterio Sacristán made a huge save. With a little luck, La Cañada CF's Emeterio Sacristán got control of the ball when Gonza Llinares tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Iñigo Vega to strike the kick off in the second half. Manu Izquierdo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emeterio Sacristán having to make a save. La Cañada CF's Emeterio Sacristán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manu Izquierdo in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Santiago Pedriza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iñigo Vega might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Benítez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iñigo Vega ran back to his position shaking his head. If Iñigo Vega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iñigo Vega struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Jorge Benítez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Cañada CF. Manu Izquierdo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emeterio Sacristán having to interfere. La Cañada CF's Vito Gimeno got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th minute, Brion Morales got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Iñigo Vegas short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Jorge Benítez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Santiago Pedriza hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute of the match Urtun Echeto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emeterio Sacristán skillfully saved the ball. Emeterio Sacristán stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manu Izquierdo's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Eriberto Puyol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emeterio Sacristán having to interfere. After 93 played minutes deni5 got a freekick which was hit by Urtun Echeto. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The deni5 fans cheered their team off the field, for while La Cañada CF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
