When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Franco Erosa sped through Girona FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Liberto Sánchez. Lindes's Higinio Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asier Benedicto in the 24th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Girona FC's Montrel Ramiréz got a free kick in the 29th minute. Pacorro Fresnos kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Franco Erosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lindes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Franco Erosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Lindes's Liberto Sánchez threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Franco Erosa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
