UD Las Palmas's Ognyan Rusev was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 23rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Monistrolet CD's goal looked a bit too open when Ognyan Rusev came free, but Mariano Japón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the match, Iratze Arribas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mariano Japón. Monistrolet CD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Iratze Arribas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Paulino Cuadrado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Japón having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iban Vallejo during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Iban Vallejo kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. When Giraldo Contratas came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Monistrolet CD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giraldo Contratas couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Brais Perpiñán made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Iratze Arribas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Japón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anaut Ramiréz made in the 57th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Baleren Galego. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Giraldo Contratas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monistrolet CD's supporters rose to their feet, but Giraldo Contratas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dario Zamora breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes into the game, UD Las Palmas's Ognyan Rusev nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mariano Japón made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The audience was convinced that Brais Perpiñán's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dario Zamora was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. UD Las Palmas walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
