Cordairo Segura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Urtzi Fernandez having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Las Cotorras Parlanchinas's zone, Espartaco Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Urtzi Fernandez came out of the goal and Espartaco Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oliviero Babia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amador Lopez de Toro in the 15th minute. Oliviero Babia was out of position in the 17 minute of play, and Cido Freitas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cido Freitas really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Amador Lopez de Toro made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 21stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Oliviero Babia would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amador Lopez de Toro in the 24th minute of play forced Rayo Vallirana's goalkeeper Oliviero Babia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 2-0 became the score in the 25th minute when Cido Freitas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 28th minute Cordairo Segura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Urtzi Fernandez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oliviero Babia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cido Freitas in the 31st minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Las Cotorras Parlanchinas's Cido Freitas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Oliviero Babia. Oliviero Babia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. 34 minutes into the match, Rayo Vallirana's goal looked a bit too open when Amador Lopez de Toro came free, but Oliviero Babia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herman Åkerberg in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oliviero Babia saved Rayo Vallirana from getting behind. After having played for 40 minutes, Herman Åkerberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Las Cotorras Parlanchinas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herman Åkerberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute Amador Lopez de Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliviero Babia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oliviero Babia made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Amador Lopez de Toro sent off a good shot on target.

Las Cotorras Parlanchinas made a substitution. Omero Nueva replaced Xabel Arraz. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cido Freitas to strike the kick off in the second half. Rayo Vallirana's Oliviero Babia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cido Freitas in the 54th minute of play. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Las Cotorras Parlanchinas! Amador Lopez de Toro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Oliviero Babia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Las Cotorras Parlanchinas made a substitution. Quique Tormes replaced Amador Lopez de Toro. Olivar Quijana's late challenge caught a Las Cotorras Parlanchinas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olivar Quijana helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd match minute, Rayo Vallirana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olivar Quijana to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Cido Freitas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Olivar Quijana was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Olivar Quijana hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Las Cotorras Parlanchinas made a substitution. Hernán Feria replaced Urtungo Helguera. In the 78th minute, Olivar Quijana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Cido Freitas came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Las Cotorras Parlanchinas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cido Freitas couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Rayo Vallirana's Ulises Cameno got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Quique Tormes might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oliviero Babia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Quique Tormes ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 87th minute Quique Tormes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliviero Babia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Rayo Vallirana getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Tomás Font hit a great ball. After 93 minutes Rayo Vallirana's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Paul Marcilla who took care of the corner kick. Paul Marcilla made a great header on Las Cotorras Parlanchinas's corner, it was just that Rayo Vallirana's Oliviero Babia managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Rayo Vallirana getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Adolfo Checa hit a great ball. In the 99th minute, Quique Tormes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oliviero Babia was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Las Cotorras Parlanchinas's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
