The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Domingueros Tuercebotas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Liberto Macho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The El Margen fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when El Margen's Eli Casanova looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Domingueros Tuercebotas's Vincent Escobar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Liberto Macho in the 10th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Liberto Macho put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Vincent Escobar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alvaro Sierra in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jaime Naelio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. El Margen's Jaime Naelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Sierra in the 22nd minute of play. Liberto Macho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vincent Escobar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. With a little luck, Domingueros Tuercebotas's Vincent Escobar got control of the ball when Eli Casanova tried to sneak it across the goal line. El Margen's Jaime Naelio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Sierra in the 38th minute of play. The supporters of El Margen booed when Domingueros Tuercebotas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernard Casta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, El Margen's Santo Casanova broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Biagio Mazzei hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alvaro Sierra to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Rogelio Salazar took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Jaime Naelio to make any attempt to save it. Jaime Naelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lancelot Gonzalez in the 62nd minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, Domingueros Tuercebotas's goal looked a bit too open when Liberto Macho came free, but Vincent Escobar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute Nofre Viqueira collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. In the 66th minute, Rogelio Salazar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vincent Escobar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eli Casanova, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. With a little luck, El Margen's Jaime Naelio got control of the ball when Aurelio Azofra tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lancelot Gonzalez got free with Jaime Naelio in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alvaro Sierra scored 3-2 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jaime Naelio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute, Lancelot Gonzalez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jaime Naelio was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Vincent Escobar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eli Casanova, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaime Naelio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Sierra in the 87th minute of play. Rogelio Salazar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jaime Naelio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. El Margen's Policarpio Doblas got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 93 minutes into the match, El Margen's Liberto Macho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vincent Escobar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 94th minute Alvaro Sierra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Naelio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
