But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Natalio Pareja couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Alonso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Natalio Pareja's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Chan Briso struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Jonathan Alonso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SPARTANS F.C. Jonathan Alonso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natalio Pareja in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, SPARTANS F.C's Enol Ibanez got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Aeropuerto De Vitoria's Fabián Darroja tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Aeropuerto De Vitoria defense, Natalio Pareja kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Alonso. The Aeropuerto De Vitoria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Alonso should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Alonso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chan Briso, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
