With an all-out effort, A Veiga De Cascalla's Fidel Odín threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Honorato Vives, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Aizpea's Fidel Odín proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Aizpea from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Aizpea getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Vincente Dagora hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute of the match A Veiga De Cascalla got a corner. Aizpea's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zelipe Silvestre ran over to the corner to take the kick. Honorato Vives's late challenge caught a Aizpea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Honorato Vives helped the player get up and apologised. In the 43rd minute, Honorato Vives hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reinaldo Checa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Fidel Odín tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Aizpea were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaume Vega made a kick off. If Honorato Vives had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Gilabert Lastras successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gilabert Lastras made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juan-Luis Contratas in the 57th minute. When James Dean came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the A Veiga De Cascalla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that James Dean couldn't finish the play. After 68 minutes, Reinaldo Checa made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Aizpea's Fidel Odín tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Juan-Luis Contratas came free with the goalkeeper in the 73rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gilabert Lastras could save by the left post. Vincente Dagora kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Valdo Soto hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Fidel Odín showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Checa in the 87th minute of the match. Henric Salan charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henric Salan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fidel Odín stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Honorato Vives's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Aizpea's goal looked a bit too open when James Dean came free, but Fidel Odín reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Honorato Vives came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the A Veiga De Cascalla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorato Vives couldn't finish the play. A Veiga De Cascalla were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
