In the 23rd minute Herodes Rodriguez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juanfran Serena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 played minutes Zaragoza FC got a freekick which was hit by Gabri Menendez. Per-Åke Hammarbäck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. The supporters of Pola De Lena FC booed when Zaragoza FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabri Menendez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Niva Vila spun around in front of the goal 43 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Zaragoza FC's goal. In the 45th minute, Niva Vila got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pablo Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juanfran Serena having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Niva Vila stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hegoi Santalla got free with Juanfran Serena in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zaragoza FC's goalkeeper Alano Urbieta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 82nd minute by Hegoi Santalla got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 85 minutes, Alfonso Otsoa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pola De Lena FC and the Zaragoza FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
