U.D.Salamanca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palafrugell FC the free kick. A collision led to U.D.Salamanca getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Martín Alarcon hit a great ball. The Palafrugell FC fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Palafrugell FC's Eron Cabrera looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet as Vermudo Villar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ubaldo Sánchez. That made the score 1-2 in the 21 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Honorio Escurza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palafrugell FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Honorio Escurza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When Donatello Zamora came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the U.D.Salamanca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donatello Zamora couldn't finish the play. Vermudo Villar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ubaldo Sánchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The U.D.Salamanca players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Palafrugell FC were winning 1-2.

Palafrugell FC's Ludomil Ludzia got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Palafrugell FC booed when U.D.Salamanca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donatello Zamora didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eron Cabrera in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xulian Solana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Eron Cabrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ubaldo Sánchez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donatello Zamora in the 77th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Palafrugell FC's goal looked a bit too open when Donatello Zamora came free, but Ubaldo Sánchez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jimeno Cainzos kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Donatello Zamora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U.D.Salamanca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donatello Zamora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
