A collision led to ChilEspaña getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Unax Sierra hit a great ball. 16 minutes in the game, Vladimiro Rivera dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 22ndth minute of the game Vladimiro Rivera who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Celta de Vino's Ambrosio Gómez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Celta de Vino's zone, Bazil Negro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambrosio Gómez came out of the goal and Bazil Negro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Vladimiro Rivera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ambrosio Gómez made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Vladimiro Rivera sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Celta de Vino's zone, Vladimiro Rivera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ambrosio Gómez came out of the goal and Vladimiro Rivera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Vladimiro Rivera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ambrosio Gómez was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. 44 minutes into the match, Celta de Vino's goalkeeper Ambrosio Gómez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bazil Negro. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Reinaldo Sierra made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Bazil Negro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ambrosio Gómez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ambrosio Gómez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bazil Negro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bazil Negro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Ambrosio Gómez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Rivera in the 68th minute of play forced Celta de Vino's goalkeeper Ambrosio Gómez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Reinaldo Sierra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee showed Inko Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, ChilEspaña's Inko Barbosa got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute, Bazil Negro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute Vladimiro Rivera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambrosio Gómez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the ChilEspaña players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
