After a rather tough play, Timar's Saul Aguado got a free kick in the 14th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Timar's zone, Godofredo Helguera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barros Arribas came out of the goal and Godofredo Helguera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 20 played minutes Timar got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Castillo. Apat Montero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Barros Arribas. Timar's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The supporters of Timar booed when Blancafort was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inguma Durango didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marino Pedriza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benet Prieto, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Timar's Benet Prieto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marino Pedriza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Godofredo Helguera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Blancafort had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
