In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Amarante UD's goalkeeper Joel Alonso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Ibar Gutierrez took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Cruz Otero to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of United Lions booed when Amarante UD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pepe Jurado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Alonso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orlondo Casals went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. 28 minutes into the game, United Lions's Vincente Zapater nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joel Alonso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. 31 minutes into the game, Vincente Zapater cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Joel Alonso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 33 minutes into the match, Orlondo Casals notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Amarante UD's Joel Alonso. Joel Alonso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pepe Jurado's late challenge caught a United Lions's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tobias Lara thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Joel Alonso, a very annoying self made goal in the 41st minute which led to 1-6. Amarante UD's Joel Alonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincente Zapater in the 44th minute of play.

The crowd rose to their feet as United Lions's Orlondo Casals slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joel Alonso. That made the score 1-8 after 53 minutes of play. 57 minutes into the match, Amarante UD's Cordario Orozco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cruz Otero narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Joel Alonso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincente Zapater, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute.
