Club Atlético River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Critters the free kick. In the 3rd match minute, Club Atlético River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nahia Quintero to maneuver through the defense. Clemencin Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltazar Montaña having to interfere. When Anaya Casta, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 11 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Baltazar Montaña was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 17 minutes into the game, Josu Mata was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atlético River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Critters the free kick. A collision led to Club Atlético River Plate getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Josu Mata hit a great ball. Belasko Barbosa hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Boni Canyelles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anaya Casta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Baltazar Montaña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clemencin Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Normando Correa hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 32nd match minute, Club Atlético River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nahia Quintero to maneuver through the defense. If Clemencin Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 47 minutes, Anselmo Gutierrez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atlético River Plate's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Gutierrez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 47 played minutes Critters got a freekick which was hit by Normando Correa. In the 50th minute of the match Club Atlético River Plate got a corner. Critters's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Boni Canyelles ran over to the corner to take the kick. Argi Roca was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Roberto Domenech hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. The supporters of Club Atlético River Plate booed when Critters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petri Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Club Atlético River Plate's Boni Canyelles tried to score from far away in the 63rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Clemencin Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute, Clemencin Velasco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Critters fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Anaya Casta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Baltazar Montaña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute Anaya Casta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baltazar Montaña saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicholas Mas scored 1-1 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Xorxe Echeto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nicholas Mas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baltazar Montaña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anaya Casta in the 83rd minute of play. Nicholas Mas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xorxe Echeto having to interfere. Anaya Casta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Baltazar Montaña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anaya Casta struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Baltazar Montaña didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Critters. Anaya Casta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Baltazar Montaña came out and tried to block the shot, but Anaya Casta slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 95th minute.
