The referee ignored Atares SD's protests and gave Dantel Diez a yellow card for diving instead. Arnalt Zapico struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Rios Varela didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Higuera La Real. In the 20th match minute, Atares SD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dantel Diez to maneuver through the defense. Rios Varela made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Arnalt Zapico sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the game, Dominic Gala was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Atares SD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Higuera La Real the free kick. Dominic Gala kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. A hard shot 25 in the game by Arnalt Zapico from a close distance when the talented Rios Varela managed to make a qualified save. Atares SD's players were relieved. If Arnalt Zapico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rios Varela made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Arnalt Zapico sent off a good shot on target. Rios Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Egoi Quintana in the 34th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arnalt Zapico got free with Rios Varela in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Arnalt Zapico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Higuera La Real booed when Atares SD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dominic Gala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rios Varela came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Higuera La Real's Arnalt Zapico. But to his dismay, Arnalt Zapico quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Egoi Quintana made a kick off. Higuera La Real's Ubaldo Pascua proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Higuera La Real from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute Arnalt Zapico shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rios Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnalt Zapico in the 78th minute of play forced Atares SD's goalkeeper Rios Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Egoi Quintana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Rios Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Atares SD's Colas Casas got a free kick in the 85th minute. When Egoi Quintana came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Higuera La Real fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egoi Quintana couldn't finish the play. Rios Varela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnalt Zapico in the 88th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egoi Quintana in the 91st minute of play forced Atares SD's goalkeeper Rios Varela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rdth minute of the game Egoi Quintana who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atares SD's Rios Varela was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 95th minute, Egoi Quintana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rios Varela was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Higuera La Real fully deserved thier win.
