The referee ignored Bonilla SAD's protests and gave Muno Zafrilla a yellow card for diving instead. Muno Zafrilla hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Teodoro Ferrer was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Herberto Gómez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Herberto Gómez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. A hard shot 11 in the game by Frodo Ziguenza from a close distance when the talented Teodoro Ferrer managed to make a qualified save. Bonilla SAD's players were relieved. Frodo Ziguenza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Teodoro Ferrer made a huge save. Bizen Leyva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Milton Huguet having to interfere. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Herberto Gómez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hernando Canturri in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Milton Huguet saved Azañon from getting behind. If Muno Zafrilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 72 minutes, Muno Zafrilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bonilla SAD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Muno Zafrilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Herberto Gómez's late challenge caught a Bonilla SAD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
