When Cordairo Hernandez, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 35 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Juan Cerreri was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After having played for 37 minutes, Abad Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Helechal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abad Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Madaleno De Toro in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Cerreri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Florentino Cabrera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giraldo Arraz in the 41st minute. After having played for 45 minutes, Madaleno De Toro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Helechal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Madaleno De Toro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Cordairo Hernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cordairo Hernandez was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Madaleno De Toro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Helechal's supporters rose to their feet, but Madaleno De Toro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Cerreri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Madaleno De Toro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute Cordairo Hernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Cerreri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cordairo Hernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Cerreri having to interfere. Giraldo Arraz charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Giraldo Arraz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Giraldo Arraz hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Gartzen Contratas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Cabrera having to interfere. Cordairo Hernandez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Cerreri having to make a save. In the 96th minute, Madaleno De Toro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Helechal's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
