Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zuri Castaño took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Santa Fe's zone, Tito Perez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonel Jauregui came out of the goal and Tito Perez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zuri Castaño in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marciano Zapata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 9 minutes into the match, Santa Fe's goal looked a bit too open when Víctor Portillo came free, but Leonel Jauregui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aznaro Abrego got free with Marciano Zapata in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aznaro Abrego sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santa Fe's Zuri Castaño got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marciano Zapata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blanco Navarro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Zuri Castaño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aznaro Abrego fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marciano Zapata having to interfere. Aznaro Abrego received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Marciano Zapata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zuri Castaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvestre Escobar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marciano Zapata having to interfere. In the 47th play minute Aznaro Abrego came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Marciano Zapata. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tito Perez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Blanco Navarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Marciano Zapata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aznaro Abrego sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Carral fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Carral's Tito Perez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 86 minutes, Aznaro Abrego managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santa Fe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aznaro Abrego was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Blanco Navarro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Carral's Tito Perez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. 97 minutes into the game, Ion Urquijo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carral's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Santa Fe the free kick. In the 97th match minute, Carral was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ion Urquijo to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle went the supporters of Carral were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Santa Fe side.
