The audience thought a goal was coming when Haritz Calvo got free with Dolfo Elguero in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eduardo Zapico hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Apolinar Marines who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Dolfo Elguero when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 13th match minute, Restiello was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baraquiel Turienzo to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Haritz Calvo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Old San Diego F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Haritz Calvo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dolfo Elguero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Haritz Calvo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dolfo Elguero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. If Eli Alcantara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haritz Calvo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Dolfo Elguero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Old San Diego F.C. booed when Restiello was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mohamed Aceves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute, Artemio Casta sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Restiello's Dolfo Elguero didn't even have to move. Dolfo Elguero was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Artemio Casta. 37 minutes into the match, Restiello's Eduardo Zapico sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Renato Comas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Renato Comas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baraquiel Turienzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Eli Alcantara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dolfo Elguero having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Eduardo Zapico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Restiello's Dolfo Elguero got control of the ball when Haritz Calvo tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eli Alcantara was the one to do the kick off. Old San Diego F.C.'s Haritz Calvo got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Baraquiel Turienzo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Restiello fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Restiello's Dolfo Elguero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eli Alcantara in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of Old San Diego F.C. booed when Restiello was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baraquiel Turienzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Haritz Calvo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dolfo Elguero was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Eduardo Zapico charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eduardo Zapico the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eduardo Zapico kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Dolfo Elguero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eli Alcantara in the 87th minute of play. When Eli Alcantara came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Old San Diego F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eli Alcantara couldn't finish the play. If Eli Alcantara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Restiello players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Old San Diego F.C..
