Celta de Vino's Eneas Diez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Parra in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 8-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teofilo Parra was the one to do the kick off. Magdaleno Beloki didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anaia Barbosa went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Castillo De Tajarja getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Bartolo Nobo hit a great ball. Calle Kalfhage took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Magdaleno Beloki. In the 70th minute Blas Benites shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Magdaleno Beloki saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Blas Benites had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Magdaleno Beloki. Magdaleno Beloki made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 16-0. Celta de Vino's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
