Karel Sojka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tebaldo Rojas hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Rauf Tolga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baraquiel Climent in the 26th minute of the match. Rauf Tolga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubaldo Zurica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karel Sojka hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Israel Valverde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karel Sojka's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Esquipula Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. The supporters of Real Sociedad booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sofronio Leseduarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Racing Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Esquipula Navarro should have stopped the shot. After 67 played minutes Real Sociedad got a freekick which was hit by Karel Sojka. Real Sociedad's Rauf Tolga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tino Bellido in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karel Sojka in the 78th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Esquipula Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club's zone, Luciano Barral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Esquipula Navarro came out of the goal and Luciano Barral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Karel Sojka's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Esquipula Navarro was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. When Real Sociedad's Karel Sojka in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
