In the 54th minute, Miguel Ángel Viguera reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cucao Alcantara. The goal made the score 0-4. E Palmeiras fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when S. E Palmeiras's Hernán Menendez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Soberano fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. S. E Palmeiras were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
