After a rather tough play, Mia's David Blanco got a free kick in the 7th minute. Oihan Mata made an important save on a dangerous shot by Iurie Şimoc in the 9th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Iurie Şimoc got free with Oihan Mata in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oihan Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nacho Palomar in the 11th minute of the match. A collision led to San Miguel getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Nacho Palomar hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind San Miguel's goalkeeper Gaudencio Baltanas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the San Miguel defense, Fortun Ramirez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaudencio Baltanas. The San Miguel fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaudencio Baltanas should have stopped the shot. After 29 played minutes San Miguel got a freekick which was hit by Nacho Palomar. Gaudencio Baltanas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fortun Ramirez, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 38 minutes into the match, San Miguel's goal looked a bit too open when Fortun Ramirez came free, but Gaudencio Baltanas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortun Ramirez in the 39th minute of play forced San Miguel's goalkeeper Gaudencio Baltanas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oihan Mata was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Andrei Najat showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 43 minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iurie Şimoc to make the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Mia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Blanco to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute of the match Kelemen Arratia sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oihan Mata skillfully saved the ball. With 56 minutes on the clock, Inge Castelao commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Mia's Oihan Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iurie Şimoc in the 63rd minute of play. The supporters of San Miguel booed when Mia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fortun Ramirez didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Blanco hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 74th match minute, Mia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Batista Helguera to maneuver through the defense. Oihan Mata came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by San Miguel's Miguel Cabada. But to his dismay, Miguel Cabada quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iurie Şimoc in the 87th minute of play forced Mia's goalkeeper Oihan Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
