The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vladimir Barrientos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garin Camara in the 3rd minute of play. Mardy Bum's Odilon Saez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Iván Nunez in the 7 minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Taialà's Garin Camara got a free kick in the 10th minute. Vladimir Barrientos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Airas Treviño, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, Mardy Bum's Peli Avila got a free kick in the 13th minute. A collision led to Mardy Bum getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Odilon Saez hit a great ball. Urtun Abril could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Dario Rivera made a huge save. In the 21st minute, Gaizko Leon made a precise shot to the right of Vladimir Barrientos. Mardy Bum's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. A hard shot 25 in the game by Urtun Abril from a close distance when the talented Dario Rivera managed to make a qualified save. Taialà's players were relieved. Urtun Abril received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dario Rivera came out and tried to block the shot, but Urtun Abril slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 27th minute. After having played for 32 minutes, Peli Avila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mardy Bum's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peli Avila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jouko Pulkkinen's late challenge caught a Taialà's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jouko Pulkkinen helped the player get up and apologised. Jouko Pulkkinen kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Roldán Yeste was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Taialà's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mardy Bum the free kick. In the 42nd match minute, Taialà was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roldán Yeste to maneuver through the defense. When Urtun Abril came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Mardy Bum fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urtun Abril couldn't finish the play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Urtun Abril to strike the kick off in the second half. If Airas Treviño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 54th minute Urtun Abril shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Rivera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vladimir Barrientos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaizko Leon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Airas Treviño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Urtun Abril in the 70th minute of play forced Taialà's goalkeeper Dario Rivera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dario Rivera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jouko Pulkkinen, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Mardy Bum's Vladimir Barrientos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Mardy Bum from getting a goal against them. Odilon Saez kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Taialà's zone, Euloxu Roman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dario Rivera came out of the goal and Euloxu Roman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the game, Gaizko Leon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Taialà's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mardy Bum the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Urtun Abril in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dario Rivera saved Taialà from getting behind. Urtun Abril blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dario Rivera having to make a save. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mardy Bum players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
