Alejandro Rivera hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, Francisco Llinares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Polifemo Pascua had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Polifemo Pascua fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Quilino Vega having to interfere. In the 20th minute of the match Cordarell Mata sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Quilino Vega skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Polifemo Pascua's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Quilino Vega was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Imanol Lacorte in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck César Solano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Santa Cruz De Paniagua CF booed when El Palmeral SD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mitxel Pedraza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Polifemo Pascua struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Quilino Vega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santa Cruz De Paniagua CF. After a defensive mix-up in El Palmeral SD's zone, Polifemo Pascua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quilino Vega came out of the goal and Polifemo Pascua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, El Palmeral SD's goal looked a bit too open when Aureliano Serena came free, but Quilino Vega reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Polifemo Pascua to make the kick off. If Imanol Lacorte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Aureliano Serena came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Santa Cruz De Paniagua CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aureliano Serena couldn't finish the play. Quilino Vega was a little too slow when Aureliano Serena got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-1. A collision led to El Palmeral SD getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Pablo Sirvent hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the match, El Palmeral SD's goalkeeper Quilino Vega had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aureliano Serena. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Sagrario Montaña managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Palmeral SD's supporters rose to their feet, but Sagrario Montaña was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. César Solano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 78 played minutes El Palmeral SD got a freekick which was hit by Nofre Puig. Polifemo Pascua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Quilino Vega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Santa Cruz De Paniagua CF's Polifemo Pascua in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Palmeral SD's goalie prevented a goal. Aureliano Serena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The El Palmeral SD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
