Spectators: 7371 (Terracing: 5529, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gaitano Jorquera started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Alcaucin's goal looked a bit too open when Gaitano Jorquera came free, but Fran Cainzos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fran Cainzos came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Mati's Gaitano Jorquera. But to his dismay, Gaitano Jorquera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 10th minute Anselmo Alonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fran Cainzos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Germán Talavera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fran Cainzos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nayely Aznar, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Germán Talavera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Natanael Goyanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 19 minutes of play, Mati's Teobaldo España made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fran Cainzos was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 34 played minutes Mati got a freekick which was hit by Monte Casas. Mati's Natanael Goyanes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germán Talavera in the 35th minute of play. Ursino Cameno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Natanael Goyanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maverick Rocafort blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Natanael Goyanes having to make a save. If Germán Talavera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nayely Aznar charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nayely Aznar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, Mati was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nayely Aznar to maneuver through the defense. Germán Talavera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Guerrero in the 47th minute of play forced Alcaucin's goalkeeper Fran Cainzos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Germán Talavera was the one to do the kick off. Germán Talavera struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Natanael Goyanes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alcaucin. Natanael Goyanes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Germán Talavera in the 81st minute of the match. Rafael Guerrero might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fran Cainzos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rafael Guerrero ran back to his position shaking his head. 88 minutes into the match, Alcaucin's goal looked a bit too open when Gaitano Jorquera came free, but Fran Cainzos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maverick Rocafort's late challenge caught a Mati's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maverick Rocafort helped the player get up and apologised. Maverick Rocafort kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Mati were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Alcaucin's much stronger midfield.
