Spectators: 7335 (Terracing: 5503, Seating: 1687, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anter Carrasco started the match with the kick off. Diego Puig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frantzes Zubiaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cloyo Perpiñán having to interfere. Picassent's Diego Puig got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cloyo Perpiñán came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Picassent's Diego Puig. But to his dismay, Diego Puig quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Santa Cruz's goalkeeper Cloyo Perpiñán, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Anter Carrasco received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Llorian Sauca came out and tried to block the shot, but Anter Carrasco slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 27th minute. 32 minutes into the match, Santa Cruz's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Puig came free, but Cloyo Perpiñán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Diego Puig to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Picassent's zone, Alejo Montaña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Llorian Sauca came out of the goal and Alejo Montaña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anter Carrasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cloyo Perpiñán showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Puig in the 60th minute of the match. Gonza Ocaña kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. If Alejo Montaña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute Frantzes Zubiaga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cloyo Perpiñán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Americo Alcaraz made a precise shot to the right of Cloyo Perpiñán. Santa Cruz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Llorian Sauca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anter Carrasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nacho Echeto hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Anter Carrasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Llorian Sauca having to interfere. Mancio Griful charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mancio Griful the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mancio Griful hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After 90 minutes of play Picassent's Mancio Griful was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 91st match minute, Picassent was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mancio Griful to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Frantzes Zubiaga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Robustiano Echavarri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Picassent players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
