When Amador Iglesias got free in front of the goal in the 5th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Maurin Bouzas was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 7 played minutes Portela got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Coira. After a rather tough play, Portela's Joey Nieto got a free kick in the 10th minute. Yeryo fc's Gorka Ledo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 11th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Portela. Misael Beloki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edelmiro Fernandez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leo Cartagena having to make a save. Maurin Bouzas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ponciano Hevia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Portela's Amador Iglesias dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 29th match minute, Portela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Coira to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Yeryo fc getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Anxel Bellido hit a great ball. The long shot by Hipolito Cazorla in the 36th minute really tested Maurin Bouzas's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Portela's zone, Edelmiro Fernandez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Cartagena came out of the goal and Edelmiro Fernandez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the match, Yeryo fc's Edelmiro Fernandez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Leo Cartagena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 45 minutes into the game, Edelmiro Fernandez cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Leo Cartagena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Edelmiro Fernandez made the kick off in the second half. Portela's Leo Cartagena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edelmiro Fernandez in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joey Nieto in the 77th minute of play forced Yeryo fc's goalkeeper Maurin Bouzas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edelmiro Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Leo Cartagena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leo Cartagena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Fernandez in the 93rd minute of the match. Leo Cartagena was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Urtungo Mezquita showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 95 minute of play. When the match was over Yeryo fc could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Portela throughout the match.
