Marco Maroto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ponciano Hevia, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Chozas UD's goal looked a bit too open when Ponciano Hevia came free, but Marco Maroto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Portela's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mergildo Rapado fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Saturnin Borrás struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Leo Cartagena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chozas UD. Joey Nieto took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marco Maroto. Marco Maroto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Mergildo Rapado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Leo Cartagena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amador Iglesias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 26 minutes into the match, Chozas UD's goal looked a bit too open when Montxo Arraz came free, but Marco Maroto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olo Cabrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Leo Cartagena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Portela's goalkeeper Leo Cartagena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Saturnin Borrás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olo Cabrera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Leo Cartagena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Troy Villanueva to make the kick off. Marco Maroto came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Portela's Amador Iglesias. But to his dismay, Amador Iglesias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olo Cabrera in the 60th minute of play forced Portela's goalkeeper Leo Cartagena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chozas UD's Marco Maroto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Montxo Arraz in the 63rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Chozas UD's Olo Cabrera got a free kick in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joey Nieto in the 66th minute of play forced Chozas UD's goalkeeper Marco Maroto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Saturnin Borrás got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamin Coira charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benjamin Coira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Portela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! The referee gave Chozas UD a penalty, 84 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Saturnin Borrás, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Portela's Leo Cartagena. 1-2. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Chozas UD lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
