In the 5th minute Braulio Acosta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlitos Arenas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Braulio Acosta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlitos Arenas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quique Galego in the 17th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Salvador Prieto in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simon Comas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 22 minutes, Quique Galego managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Betis Balompie's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quique Galego was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 23rdth minute of the game Braulio Acosta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tossarg Team's Carlitos Arenas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 26th match minute, Real Betis Balompie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricart Helguera to maneuver through the defense. When Quique Galego came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Real Betis Balompie fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quique Galego couldn't finish the play. 33 minutes into the match, Tossarg Team's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Acosta came free, but Carlitos Arenas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Braulio Acosta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Carlitos Arenas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Tossarg Team's goal looked a bit too open when Quique Galego came free, but Carlitos Arenas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

If Rainerio Garate had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Real Betis Balompie booed when Tossarg Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edorta Griego didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tossarg Team's Carlitos Arenas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braulio Acosta in the 62nd minute of play. Muno Jareño was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 65 minutes into the match. When the match had been going on for 67 minutes, Real Betis Balompie's Che Velasco got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Carlitos Arenas. With his leg Carlitos Arenas managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Real Betis Balompie's Quique Galego fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Quique Galego fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlitos Arenas having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Tossarg Team's goalkeeper Carlitos Arenas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Quique Galego. When the match was over Real Betis Balompie could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tossarg Team throughout the match.
