An unexpectedly hard shot by Francis Rajoi in the 17th minute of play forced Merens's goalkeeper Bartolo Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Francis Rajoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frutos Acha might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bartolo Freire. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frutos Acha ran back to his position shaking his head. Ohanes's Francis Rajoi managed to work through Merens's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Francis Rajoi dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After having played for 25 minutes, Frutos Acha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ohanes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frutos Acha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of Merens:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ohanes:s goal. Teodosio Raya placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Frutos Acha might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bartolo Freire. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frutos Acha ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ohanes's goalkeeper Tancredo Hidalgo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Ohanes booed when Merens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eneko Valdivia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Teodosio Raya sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Merens's Bartolo Freire didn't even have to move. Tancredo Hidalgo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eleodoro Rico, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francis Rajoi to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Ohanes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolo Etxeberria to maneuver through the defense. Tancredo Hidalgo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eleodoro Rico showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 55 minute of play. After having played for 60 minutes, Francis Rajoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ohanes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francis Rajoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. But to his dismay, Francis Rajoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 72 minutes into the match, Merens's goal looked a bit too open when Francis Rajoi came free, but Bartolo Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Merens getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Pericles Negro hit a great ball. In the 83rdth minute of the game Frutos Acha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merens's Bartolo Freire was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Francis Rajoi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bartolo Freire having to make a save. In the 86th minute, Frutos Acha made a precise shot to the right of Bartolo Freire. Merens's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francis Rajoi in the 92nd minute of play forced Merens's goalkeeper Bartolo Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ohanes's Carolo Etxeberria suffered a concussion in the 93rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pericles Negro during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Merens getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Pericles Negro hit a great ball. Bartolo Freire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frutos Acha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Ohanes were the better team. Ohanes's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
