With an extended leg and a bit of luck Micael Morcego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Dínamo de Córdoba defense, Everardo Raya kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Micael Morcego. The Dínamo de Córdoba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Micael Morcego should have stopped the shot. Everardo Raya's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Micael Morcego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. The supporters of Abanilla booed when Dínamo de Córdoba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santxo Uria didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Dínamo de Córdoba's goal looked a bit too open when Everardo Raya came free, but Micael Morcego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santxo Uria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jago Gonzalez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovando Valines in the 36th minute of play. Santxo Uria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jago Gonzalez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. If Melkor Valdés had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Dínamo de Córdoba's Ovando Valines got a free kick in the 51st minute. Everardo Raya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Micael Morcego having to interfere. If Santxo Uria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luis-Jose Alonso hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. When Abanilla's Carlos Pascual in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dínamo de Córdoba's goalie prevented a goal. Micael Morcego made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Everardo Raya sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Everardo Raya got free with Micael Morcego in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Dínamo de Córdoba's zone, Everardo Raya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Micael Morcego came out of the goal and Everardo Raya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th minute, Edmundo Zafrilla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santxo Uria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jago Gonzalez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Carlos Pascual reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Micael Morcego. The goal made the score 0-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Abanilla walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
