But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jorge Reyes couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Club Marino de Luanco's zone, Cristobal Palanques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abundio Freire came out of the goal and Cristobal Palanques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristobal Palanques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, Jorge Reyes made a precise shot to the right of Abundio Freire. Club Marino de Luanco's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Agustín Cardeñosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amancio Quevedo having to interfere. Jorge Reyes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Palanques in the 40th minute of play forced Club Marino de Luanco's goalkeeper Abundio Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abundio Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Reyes in the 42nd minute of the match. Elviria CD's Amancio Quevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermegildo Varela in the 46th minute of play. Argi Pareja kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Club Marino de Luanco's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Reyes came free, but Abundio Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Jorge Reyes made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Club Marino de Luanco's zone, Cristobal Palanques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abundio Freire came out of the goal and Cristobal Palanques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amancio Quevedo came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Marino de Luanco's Agustín Cardeñosa. But to his dismay, Agustín Cardeñosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Ermegildo Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Marino de Luanco's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermegildo Varela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amancio Quevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 63 minutes into the game, Leonel Rosario was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elviria CD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Marino de Luanco the free kick. After a rather tough play, Elviria CD's Leonel Rosario got a free kick in the 64th minute. Cristobal Palanques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Abundio Freire made a huge save. Abundio Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Reyes in the 69th minute of play. Amancio Quevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Cardeñosa in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to Club Marino de Luanco getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Llorian Abril hit a great ball. Agustín Cardeñosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristobal Palanques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abundio Freire having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Cristobal Palanques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elviria CD's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristobal Palanques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abundio Freire breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Reyes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elviria CD's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
