Joan Huerta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zuberoa Jimenez in the 6th minute. When Plauto Batuecas fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AS Leones's protests and gave Plauto Batuecas a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, AS Leones's Plauto Batuecas got a free kick in the 7th minute. Joan Huerta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zuberoa Jimenez in the 10th minute. Iraitz Morales recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Entienza UD getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Santi Cabanela hit a great ball. Zuberoa Jimenez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Joan Huerta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Entienza UD's Gaztea Molina got a free kick in the 15th minute. Aurelio Echavarri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norino Aballe having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Zuberoa Jimenez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joan Huerta was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 29 minutes into the match, Entienza UD's goal looked a bit too open when Iván Ramos came free, but Joan Huerta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute Aurelio Echavarri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norino Aballe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to AS Leones getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Iraitz Morales hit a great ball. Iván Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joan Huerta having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Zuberoa Jimenez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aurelio Echavarri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Iraitz Morales scored 2-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joan Huerta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gabon Carballeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Norino Aballe made a huge save. If Iván Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute Iván Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joan Huerta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zuberoa Jimenez in the 76th minute of play forced Entienza UD's goalkeeper Joan Huerta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joan Huerta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iván Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iraitz Morales during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 78 played minutes AS Leones got a freekick which was hit by Iraitz Morales. Iván Ramos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joan Huerta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Entienza UD's goal looked a bit too open when Zuberoa Jimenez came free, but Joan Huerta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iván Ramos struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Joan Huerta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AS Leones. The supporters of AS Leones booed when Entienza UD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaztea Molina didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. AS Leones had played much better football throughout.
