Rolando Casillas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonio Mata read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. After 10 played minutes, c.d eldense's Mel Millán shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Antonio Mata came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in c.d eldense reached it. Hitz Sarro struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Mitxel Correa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rupia UD. In the 14th minute, one of c.d eldense:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for c.d eldense. After having played for 18 minutes, Quilino Odín managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rupia UD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quilino Odín was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Rupia UD's Quilino Odín sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mitxel Correa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carlos Ziguenza charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Ziguenza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Carlos Ziguenza kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. c.d eldense's Mitxel Correa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hitz Sarro in the 35th minute of play. Mitxel Correa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 49th minute, Hitz Sarro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The c.d eldense players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rupia UD were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hitz Sarro made a kick off. 62 minutes into the game, c.d eldense's Nisio Sobera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Antonio Mata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. With a little luck, c.d eldense's Mitxel Correa got control of the ball when Fábio Titos tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rupia UD's goalkeeper Antonio Mata, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hitz Sarro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in c.d eldense's zone, Hitz Sarro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mitxel Correa came out of the goal and Hitz Sarro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nisio Sobera, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Nisio Sobera blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Antonio Mata having to make a save. Mitxel Correa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hitz Sarro in the 86th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Rupia UD's zone, Rolando Casillas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Mata came out of the goal and Rolando Casillas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nisio Sobera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
