Spectators: 6695 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 0) Vilarrubin's Lauro Ricoy started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lauro Ricoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Cecilio Barba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cecilio Barba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lico Contreras in the 8th minute of play. Javier Gutierrez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maureo Litago having to interfere. In the 14th match minute, Miranda AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Gutierrez to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Vilarrubin's Carlitos Incera got a free kick in the 18th minute. Cecilio Barba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlitos Incera, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 28thth minute of the game Javier Gutierrez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vilarrubin's Maureo Litago was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Miranda AFC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Aita Llorca hit a great ball. Vinicio Zabalo made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Miranda AFC's Aita Llorca. Currito Colsa took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cecilio Barba. Cecilio Barba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 46th minute of the match Vinicio Zabalo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cecilio Barba showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A hard shot 48 in the game by Javier Gutierrez from a close distance when the talented Maureo Litago managed to make a qualified save. Vilarrubin's players were relieved. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 51 minutes, Baldovino Salgado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vilarrubin and the Miranda AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Miranda AFC booed when Vilarrubin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldovino Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th match minute, Vilarrubin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinicio Zabalo to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Miranda AFC's Aquilino Orozco tried to score from far away in the 56th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Javier Gutierrez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Maureo Litago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maureo Litago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aita Llorca in the 64th minute of play. Maureo Litago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Gutierrez in the 65th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes Vilarrubin got a freekick which was hit by Lauro Ricoy. In the 73rd minute Javier Gutierrez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maureo Litago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Currito Colsa during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Currito Colsa kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Javier Gutierrez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Javier Gutierrez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maureo Litago having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro Ricoy in the 81st minute of play forced Miranda AFC's goalkeeper Cecilio Barba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Miranda AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Lauro Ricoy came free, but Cecilio Barba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Sancho Dagora had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lauro Ricoy kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Miranda AFC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
