The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frisco Castan during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hita UD! The referee gave Vilarrubin a penalty, 10 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Andolin Teresa, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hita UD's Derwin Cienfuegos. 0-2. Currito Colsa hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Lico Contreras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Derwin Cienfuegos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Derwin Cienfuegos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lico Contreras's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Lico Contreras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Vilarrubin's Lauro Ricoy in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hita UD's goalie prevented a goal. Zoel Bajo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maureo Litago having to interfere. If Lico Contreras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 48 minutes into the match, Lauro Ricoy notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Hita UD's Derwin Cienfuegos. Derwin Cienfuegos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lauro Ricoy was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Carlitos Incera took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Derwin Cienfuegos to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in Hita UD's zone, Lauro Ricoy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Derwin Cienfuegos came out of the goal and Lauro Ricoy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60th minute, Lauro Ricoy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vilarrubin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lauro Ricoy in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Derwin Cienfuegos saved Hita UD from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Hita UD's Zoel Bajo got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Lauro Ricoy kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Derwin Cienfuegos. That made the score 0-6 in the 69 minute of play. Lico Contreras could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Derwin Cienfuegos made a huge save. In the 77th minute there was a penalty for Vilarrubin. Andolin Teresa stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Derwin Cienfuegos. 0-7. Derwin Cienfuegos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro Ricoy in the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Vilarrubin's Lico Contreras sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Derwin Cienfuegos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Lauro Ricoy kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Derwin Cienfuegos. That made the score 0-8 in the 84 minute of play. In the 88th minute Lauro Ricoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Derwin Cienfuegos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Hita UD fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vilarrubin were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
