The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Salazar to strike the kick off in the second half. Julio Fonticoba's late challenge caught a Las Higueras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcio Nieto ran back to his position shaking his head. Raúl Ramos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcio Nieto's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcio Nieto couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Torito fc's goalkeeper Raúl Ramos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Daniel Salazar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torito fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Salazar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mero Titos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
