Fertus Galego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Reina in the 4th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Amor Sierra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fertus Galego was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. In the 8th minute, Igor Wawro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AJAX ASTERDAN fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sofronio Leyva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Apolo Estruch in the 15th minute. With a little luck, AJAX ASTERDAN's Sofronio Leyva got control of the ball when Apolo Estruch tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th minute Igor Wawro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fertus Galego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fertus Galego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amor Sierra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the game, Apolo Estruch recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sofronio Leyva. Apolo Estruch showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The supporters of AJAX ASTERDAN booed when OM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tino Figueres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Igor Wawro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fertus Galego having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amor Sierra in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fertus Galego saved OM from getting behind. 32 minutes into the match, OM's goal looked a bit too open when Quexal Serrano came free, but Fertus Galego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Geremia Colsa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The OM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Tonio Roca took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fertus Galego. Fertus Galego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The supporters of AJAX ASTERDAN booed when OM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geremia Colsa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 54th minute Amor Sierra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fertus Galego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Arturo Vuelta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Normando Quintanilla got a throw-in 58 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Silverio Calatayud. After having played for 63 minutes, Amor Sierra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AJAX ASTERDAN's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amor Sierra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fertus Galego came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by AJAX ASTERDAN's Tonio Roca. But to his dismay, Tonio Roca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Fertus Galego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amor Sierra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Cayo Iniesta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. OM's Fertus Galego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amor Sierra in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute, Igor Wawro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fertus Galego was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. When the match had been going on for 85 minutes, AJAX ASTERDAN's Arturo Vuelta got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Fertus Galego. The crowd rose to their feet as AJAX ASTERDAN's Amor Sierra slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fertus Galego. That made the score 2-6 after 93 minutes of play. Apolo Estruch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sofronio Leyva having to interfere.
