Rufio Jorquera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Porfirio Colillas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eleodoro Bencoiechea in the 12th minute of play forced Pontevedra CF's goalkeeper Goyo Vila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paco Diezs short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Rufio Jorquera to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 15th minute Porfirio Colillas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rufio Jorquera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eleodoro Bencoiechea during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But to his dismay, Pere Llorca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pere Llorca made a kick off. When Minabo de Kiev's Pere Llorca in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rexino Cañadas charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rexino Cañadas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Paco Diez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Abrego's late challenge caught a Pontevedra CF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Abrego helped the player get up and apologised. After some careless play in the Minabo de Kiev defense, Paco Diez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rufio Jorquera. The Minabo de Kiev fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rufio Jorquera should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Minabo de Kiev had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
