After a defensive mix-up in La Estrella Azul's zone, Jonas Casado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artemio Leyva came out of the goal and Jonas Casado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrei Torres in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artemio Leyva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andrei Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artemio Leyva having to interfere. 32 minutes in the game, Jonas Casado dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Andrei Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valencia Bats's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrei Torres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artemio Leyva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Benvide Montes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonas Casado scored 1-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Artemio Leyva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
