C.R El Morche's supporters rose to their feet, but Ladislao Abajas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artemio Leyva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Ladislao Abajas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Artemio Leyva. That made the score 2-0 in the 21 minute of play. Artemio Leyva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vaden Campos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the C.R El Morche defense, Omero Feal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Thomas Molina. The C.R El Morche fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thomas Molina should have stopped the shot. Omero Feal took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomas Molina. Thomas Molina dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. If Vaden Campos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 姚宽光 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Navas in the 57th minute of play forced La Estrella Azul's goalkeeper Artemio Leyva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Ladislao Abajas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. C.R El Morche's Otero Rallo was substituted for Ladislao Abajas. Otero Rallo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Orlondo Torres fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Estrella Azul's protests and gave Orlondo Torres a yellow card for diving instead. Orlondo Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Orlondo Torres got his second yellow card in the match during the 96th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Despite being the better team, C.R El Morche failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
