Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Jago Morientes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 9th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Jago Morientes came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Moncada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jago Morientes couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the match, Edur Moya had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abelardo Ecija. Moncada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edur Moya was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Joanes Serrano came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Moncada's Llorienzo Acha. But to his dismay, Llorienzo Acha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 24th match minute, Moncada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Turi Bargas to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Angelino Solano sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Moncada's Abelardo Ecija didn't even have to move. Llorienzo Acha struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Joanes Serrano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moncada. Turi Bargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joanes Serrano having to interfere. After 37 played minutes Olympiacos Piraeus got a freekick which was hit by Tonio Carballido. Joanes Serrano was a little too slow when Jago Morientes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 2-1. Llorienzo Acha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Joanes Serrano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Melchor Mayor was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Llorienzo Acha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moncada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Llorienzo Acha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Jago Morientes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moncada's supporters rose to their feet, but Jago Morientes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joanes Serrano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Turi Bargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Olympiacos Piraeus defense, Llorienzo Acha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joanes Serrano. The Olympiacos Piraeus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joanes Serrano should have stopped the shot. After having played for 61 minutes, Turi Bargas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moncada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Turi Bargas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joanes Serrano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Llorienzo Acha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gonsalve Camino kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Teodor Zapata's late challenge caught a Olympiacos Piraeus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teodor Zapata helped the player get up and apologised. After 69 played minutes Moncada got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Zapata. A collision led to Olympiacos Piraeus getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Gonsalve Camino hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Llorienzo Acha sped through Olympiacos Piraeus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joanes Serrano. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Olympiacos Piraeus's goalkeeper Joanes Serrano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jago Morientes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 5-1 when Llorienzo Acha sped through Olympiacos Piraeus's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joanes Serrano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Llorienzo Acha in the 94th minute of play forced Olympiacos Piraeus's goalkeeper Joanes Serrano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Llorienzo Acha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joanes Serrano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
