Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 100) Ion Viejo made the kick off and thus started the match. A collision led to Moncada getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Fe Incera hit a great ball. When Turi Bargas fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Moncada's protests and gave Turi Bargas a yellow card for diving instead. Turi Bargas kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. If Josu Quintanilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teodor Zapata charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodor Zapata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Teodor Zapata hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute of the match Kiko Losantos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abelardo Ecija skillfully saved the ball. Manolito Leon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Llorienzo Acha, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Castellazo's Ion Viejo got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Josu Quintanilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Ecija having to interfere. Llorienzo Acha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manolito Leon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jago Morientes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Francis Fuster fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Castellazo's protests and gave Francis Fuster a yellow card for diving instead. In the 25th minute, Francis Fuster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Teodor Zapata was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 26 minutes had been played. Abelardo Ecija took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ion Viejo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 minutes of play Moncada's Turi Bargas was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Casanova in the 43rd minute of play forced Castellazo's goalkeeper Manolito Leon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Llorienzo Acha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abelardo Ecija showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ion Viejo, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Jago Morientes made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Moncada's Llorienzo Acha got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Abelardo Ecija showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ion Viejo in the 54th minute of the match. A collision led to Castellazo getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Cordarin Feria hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ion Viejo in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abelardo Ecija prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Josu Quintanilla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abelardo Ecija having to interfere. The supporters of Moncada booed when Castellazo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cordarin Feria didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Ion Viejo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Moncada's Abelardo Ecija. Abelardo Ecija was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Josu Quintanilla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Castellazo's supporters rose to their feet, but Josu Quintanilla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abelardo Ecija breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th minute Ion Viejo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Ecija saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josu Quintanilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ion Viejo struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Abelardo Ecija didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castellazo. Moncada's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
