Araguas Del Solano SD's supporters rose to their feet, but Luisito Bermudez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferran Aranzubia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ferran Aranzubia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oliverio Campoamor's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. The referee gave Araguas Del Solano SD a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Troy Arenas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pendes SAD's Ferran Aranzubia. 1-0. Oliverio Campoamor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Luisito Bermudez came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Araguas Del Solano SD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisito Bermudez couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute, Luisito Bermudez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferran Aranzubia was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. With a little luck, Pendes SAD's Ferran Aranzubia got control of the ball when Luisito Bermudez tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Luisito Bermudez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Araguas Del Solano SD booed when Pendes SAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gorka Varela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Araguas Del Solano SD's Luisito Bermudez got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A hard shot 30 in the game by Luisito Bermudez from a close distance when the talented Ferran Aranzubia managed to make a qualified save. Pendes SAD's players were relieved. In the 32ndth minute of the game Oliverio Campoamor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pendes SAD's Ferran Aranzubia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Oliverio Campoamor might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferran Aranzubia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Oliverio Campoamor ran back to his position shaking his head. Pendes SAD's Ferran Aranzubia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Pendes SAD from getting a goal against them. If Oliverio Campoamor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oliverio Campoamor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferran Aranzubia having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto Arenas made a kick off. After 57 minutes of play, Araguas Del Solano SD's Oliverio Campoamor made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ferran Aranzubia was left in no man's land by his defense there! Oliver Fabelo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Unax Aznar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Oliverio Campoamor came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Araguas Del Solano SD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliverio Campoamor couldn't finish the play. Ferran Aranzubia came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Araguas Del Solano SD's Oliverio Campoamor. But to his dismay, Oliverio Campoamor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Germán Sevilla was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 73 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, one of Araguas Del Solano SD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Araguas Del Solano SD. In the 76th minute there was a penalty for Pendes SAD. Cortez Camara stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Unax Aznar. 4-1. 82 minutes into the match, Pendes SAD's goal looked a bit too open when Luisito Bermudez came free, but Ferran Aranzubia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Madaleno Aznar took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ferran Aranzubia. Ferran Aranzubia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. After a defensive mix-up in Pendes SAD's zone, Madaleno Aznar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ferran Aranzubia came out of the goal and Madaleno Aznar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Araguas Del Solano SD fully deserved thier win.
