Cesareo Llinares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Indar Abajas made a huge save. In the 13th match minute, Depeche Mode C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ganix Santos to maneuver through the defense. Depeche Mode C.F.'s Indar Abajas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berdaitz Olmedo in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Depeche Mode C.F.'s Cordairo Silvestre got a free kick in the 21st minute. Bero Rallo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Suarez in the 27th minute of play. Indar Abajas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cesareo Llinares in the 34th minute. With his leg Indar Abajas managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Mesillas CF's Cesareo Llinares fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Toño Jareño's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bero Rallo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Berdaitz Olmedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Mustafá Echeto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cesareo Llinares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Indar Abajas having to interfere. Cesareo Llinares struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Indar Abajas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mesillas CF. Cesareo Llinares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Indar Abajas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After some careless play in the Mesillas CF defense, Elias Suarez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bero Rallo. The Mesillas CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bero Rallo should have stopped the shot. 77 minutes into the match, Depeche Mode C.F.'s goal looked a bit too open when Cesareo Llinares came free, but Indar Abajas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Berdaitz Olmedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 86 minutes, Berdaitz Olmedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mesillas CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berdaitz Olmedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cesareo Llinares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 90th match minute, Depeche Mode C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cordairo Silvestre to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Berdaitz Olmedo in the 93rd minute of play forced Depeche Mode C.F.'s goalkeeper Indar Abajas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Pepe Rosas fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Depeche Mode C.F.'s protests and gave Pepe Rosas a yellow card for diving instead. Pepe Rosas hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Depeche Mode C.F.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
