If Chus Jurado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 17 played minutes Altet got a freekick which was hit by Pello Delgado. Orlondo Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteve Xabier in the 23rd minute of play. With a little luck, F.C.Catalunya's Orlondo Gutierrez got control of the ball when Chus Jurado tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Esteve Xabier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Altet's goal looked a bit too open when Indartsu Olle came free, but Sindo Helguera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Indartsu Olle's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sindo Helguera was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in F.C.Catalunya's zone, Esteve Xabier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Orlondo Gutierrez came out of the goal and Esteve Xabier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Esteve Xabier struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Orlondo Gutierrez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altet. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Indartsu Olle made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Altet's Caetano Ecija got a free kick in the 54th minute. 55 minutes into the match, F.C.Catalunya's Pudes Bacete broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a little luck, Altet's Sindo Helguera got control of the ball when Sergio Carmona tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Chus Jurado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Altet's supporters rose to their feet, but Chus Jurado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlondo Gutierrez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Ramirez succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 62nd playminute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Esteve Xabier in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Orlondo Gutierrez saved F.C.Catalunya from getting behind. Chus Jurado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Lancelot Cano fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C.Catalunya's protests and gave Lancelot Cano a yellow card for diving instead. Lancelot Cano hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. If Esteve Xabier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chus Jurado in the 88th minute of play forced F.C.Catalunya's goalkeeper Orlondo Gutierrez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Indartsu Olle kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sindo Helguera. That made the score 0-2 in the 90 minute of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of F.C.Catalunya were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Altet side.
